Fulbright University Vietnam | Entrepreneurship Exploration Programme 2019

12 Contact Hours

64 Cadets

Level 3 EEP Programme

Team Reactor was thrilled to run Fulbright University Vietnam’s pioneer Reactor EntreCamp this year on the Fulbright campus in Ho Chi Minh.

The 2.5-day Entrepreneurship bootcamp was co-organised with Fulbright’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), and developed through a partnership between CEI, Reactor School and Lawrence S. Ting High School (LSTS).

64 students from 9 different high schools and universities were exposed to core entrepreneurship concepts, and tasked to develop solutions that tackled at least 1 of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to classroom learning, students ventured out to the local community to test their business ideas with end-users.

“I want to study more about how to build a start-up and how to be successful in business jobs. At first, when I was in grade 8, I had a business project where I sold masks, face masks, and it did not really work. So I’m finding the way, such as what’s the problem with my old business. And when I come to the camp, I just want to discover more about the business world,” shared Dang Lam Phuong Mai, an 11th grader from LSTS.

Customer Interviews: Learning the importance of Understanding the User when designing a product or solution.

Reactor Demo Day: Delivering Elevator Pitches to a panel of judges.

The students ended off the weekend pitching to a panel of judges comprised of entrepreneurs and industry experts as part of Demo Day on the last day of the programme.

Our panel of expert judges included Ms. Tuyet Vu, Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Mr. Cong Vu, Director of Product Development at M_Service (Momo Ewallet).
